Third Edition
2025
Although we had seen a start with major expansions in C3 being released in Big Box 7, it took a while before confirmation was available on this one being released in a stand-alone box. Until we received a hint from the owners of Hans im Glück during the Carcassonne Festival in 2024, saying “something big is going to happen in 2025″….
We soon confirmed this was the release of all 10 major expansions in C3, set to be released at the Carcassonne Festival in 2025, with subsequent release in shops.
Expansion 9, called Sheep & Shepherd, can be mainly seen as a simplified version of the “old” C1 and C2 expansion 9. Sheep are still here and allow for a push-your-luck element. Shepherds are needed to guide these sheep. But now there are also geese, which they can try to herd even more!
From this page, you can browse the Carcassonne Museum’s wide collection of the ninth expansion in the third (C3) art style. If you’re not sure which version you have, please check below and find out!
You’ll find that all pictures on this site are pictures of actual boxes in our collection. If you have a box that is not on here, do contact us and we’ll be able to tell you which you have. It could be one that is still missing from our collection!
