Hills & Sheep
Second Edition
First released: 2018
This expansion brought us Hills! When placing a hill tile, you immediately draw another tile, and without looking at it, place it face down underneath the just placed hill tile. If a meeple is placed on the hill tile (not the hill itself), it will break any ties for features it is in.
Note, this is only to break ties. So if there is an equal amount of meeples on the feature, the meeple on the hill breaks the tie.
Each player receives an additional meeple, their shepherd. These can be placed in a field instead of placing a meeple on a feature. You can even place it when there is already a farmer on that field! Shepherds allow for a sheep token to be drawn every time the player whose shepherd is in the field extends said field.
Sheep tokens can either reward the player by adding more sheep to the flock or release a wolf into the herd. Instead of taking another token, the player may alternatively decide to move their herd away from the field and take the points. (1 point per sheeple)
Vineyards on the tiles can benefit monasteries. Each vineyard within the 8 surrounding tiles of a completed monastery will give it 3 extra points.
