No boxes were physically harmed in the making of this comparison.

You’ll find that all pictures on this site are pictures of actual boxes in our collection. We believe we have every version of the Third Edition base game of Carcassonne in the Japanese language. If you are not sure which box you have, have a look below or contact us and we’ll be able to tell you!

Möbius, first printing

2021

We absolutely love the Japanese editions of the Carcassonne game, and were very stoked to see this printing of the Third Edition (C3).

Although released in late 2021, it was interesting to see that this box includes the year of release in the title.

Thanks to a good friend of ours, we were able to obtain this box via a proxy service, directly from Japan. It was amazing to hold it in our hands, and of course to display it in our Museum.
