No boxes were physically harmed in the making of this comparison.

You’ll find that all pictures on this site are pictures of actual boxes in our collection. We believe we have every version of the Third Edition base game of Carcassonne in the Finnish language. If you are not sure which box you have, have a look below or contact us and we’ll be able to tell you!

Lautapelit, first printing

2021

With Carcassonne being very popular in Finland as well, publisher Lautapelit did not wait long before releasing their first printing of the Third Edition (C3).

Although the overall box design is the same as that of other publishers, Lautapelit kept the logo for the Vuoden Peli, the Game of the Year award that Carcassonne won in Finland, in 2004. Another interesting bit is that the publisher’s information is found on the bottom of the box, instead of on the back.

When we contacted Lautapelit, they had stock of both this printing, as well as their second printing of the Second Edition (C2). Of course, we could not resist, and got both in one go!
