No boxes were physically harmed in the making of this comparison.

You’ll find that all pictures on this site are pictures of actual boxes in our collection. We believe we have every version of the Second Edition base game of Carcassonne in the Vietnamese language. If you are not sure which box you have, have a look below or contact us and we’ll be able to tell you!

Swan Panasia, first printing

2015

Having released the game in Chinese for many years, and testing the waters with a Thai release, Taiwanese publisher Swan Panasia expanded (pun intended) their line of languages with a release of the C2 game in Vietnamese!

The box follows the design of the 2014 releases of the C2 game and, of course, has all the text in Vietnamese. The tiles on the example landscape seem to be in C2.0, with the darker brown cities. However, our copies are sealed, so we have not yet confirmed if this is the same on the tiles.

This edition was a bit of a lucky find, as it was not listed on the website of Swan Panasia. Together with a friend from Spain, we contacted them for a joint order, and we figured to try and include this one, if actually available. All we had seen of it, was a small mention on the product page of the game on their website, but we figured it was worth a try.

Swan Panasia was happy to include the Vietnamese edition in our order, and we are proud to have this one in our Museum!
