Möbius Games, first printing

The Japanese printing of the second edition of the Carcassonne game was something special. The box shows the Carcassonne logo, with a big ‘J’ in it, instead of the usual ‘C’. Rumours started that this edition would actually have the ‘J’ on the back, but when opening the box, it was soon confirmed that the tiles have the usual ‘C’.

Also, this box comes with the special mini-expansion of the Japanese Temples. Designed by local artist Toshihiko Ishibashi, this mini-expansion was planned to be exclusive to the Japanese C2 base game. However, Hans im Glück released the mini-expansion on its own only a few months before the release of the base game in Japanese.
