No boxes were physically harmed in the making of this comparison.

You’ll find that all pictures on this site are pictures of actual boxes in our collection. We believe we have every version of the Second Edition base game of Carcassonne in the Czech and Slovak languages. If you are not sure which box you have, have a look below or contact us and we’ll be able to tell you!

Mindok, first printing

2015

Mindok was not far behind with their release of the Second Edition of Carcassonne, in Czech and Slovak. The box follows the design of the German box, showing a very similar back design, and a new front box art. Although the text on the box seems to be in Czech only, the rules included are both in Czech and Slovak.

Mindok, second printing

2019

It seems all publishers liked the designs of the German releases, as the differences between language editions became smaller. The second printing of the C2 game in Czech and Slovak follows the re-design of the back of the box, and the banner on the front, showing over 12 million games and expansions sold worldwide!
