No boxes were physically harmed in the making of this comparison.

You’ll find that all pictures on this site are pictures of actual boxes in our collection. We believe we have every version of the Second Edition base game of Carcassonne in the Russian language. If you are not sure which box you have, have a look below or contact us and we’ll be able to tell you!

Hobby World, first printing

2019

Although Hobby World had followed the last release in the C1 art style very closely from the German release, they took their time before releasing the C2 Second Edition of the game. It was not until late 2019 that they released their base game.

This box follows the 2019 re-design from other languages, with the red banner on the front and the lighter background on the back of the box.

The tiles in this box have the now-familiar ‘K’ on the back, instead of the usual ‘C’.
