No boxes were physically harmed in the making of this comparison.

You’ll find that all pictures on this site are pictures of actual boxes in our collection. We believe we have every version of the Traders & Builders expansion in the First Edition in the Bulgarian language. If you are not sure which box you have, have a look below or contact us and we’ll be able to tell you!

For the Bulgarian release, publisher Fantasmagoria used their Cyrillic alphabet to spell the game title as “Каркасон” on the box. Interestingly, on one side of the box, the name of the game and this expansion are written in the original German.

We found this box almost by coincidence, after getting in contact with someone selling a bundle of Carcassonne. They were based in Bulgaria, so we asked to check if the ones they were selling were the Bulgarian editions. They said they were selling a German copy as they had two sets, and figured to keep the Bulgarian boxes. However, as the game is language-independent and they knew the rules already, they were happy to part with the Bulgarian boxes and we managed to add them to our collection!
